an interview with Fran
How did His Word Ministries come to be?
- Over 27 years ago, the Lord spoke to me out of
Romans 10:14-15, which says,
"How then will they call on Him in whom they have
not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they
have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it
is written, "HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE
WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!"
I knew then that the Lord was calling me to go and
preach His Word, but it began to come to fruition through
one of the hardest times in my life. It was at this
time of personal tragedy that everything in me wanted
to quit. But the Lord urged me on. He asked, "Are
you just going to lay here and die?" I knew that
I had to get up and fulfill the call of God on my life,
and that was to take His Word to the nations
one
heart at a time. That answer to the call is now His
Word Ministries.
Why is the ministry's name His Word Ministries and
not Fran Schaub Ministries?
- It was the Lord who gave me the name His Word
Ministries. It has always been my desire that it be
the voice of the Lord speaking when I minister and not
my own. It was not that I wanted to make a name for
myself but to increase His Kingdom through His Word.
Are prophets the same as psychics?
- No, I am not a psychic, nor is anyone in our ministry.
The difference between a prophet and a psychic is all
about the source. While psychics and mediums may mention
a "god," "higher power," or "power
source," they prostitute their so-called giftings
for profit and their own gain. They whisper their words
from evil spirits and often say only what the person
longs to hear. However, a true prophet gets his or her
information from the Holy Spirit, is always supported
by the Word of God, and never seeks to make money off
of their gift by speaking words people want to hear.
A true prophet will only say what he or she hears the
Father saying.
Can prophets make mistakes?
- Yes, prophets do make mistakes or 'miss it' at
times. We are all human. But this is also why it is
very important to judge every prophetic word against
the Scriptures as the Word commands us to do. No true
prophetic word will ever contradict the written, infallible
Word of God.
What makes you different from others out there
ministering "in the name of the Lord?"
- I am not the only one out there doing the work
of the Lord. There are many powerful prophetic voices
being raised up in this hour. What makes each of us
unique is that we all have a piece of the puzzle. The
Word says that "we see in part and know in part."
The Lord has been preparing me for years through pastoring
and being hidden away for now. Through all of my life
experience and walking with the Lord, it has led me
to this very moment. My prayer is that I have a 'now
word' for the Body of Christ and the nations to bring
God glory.
Are you part of a church body?
- Yes! Being involved in the local church is very
important. It is just as important for prophets to be
under authority and understand how authority in the
Kingdom works. My husband Craig and I pastor Spirit
of Life Church in Nashville, Tennessee, but we also
have our own pastor who we go to for guidance and prayer.
What do you believe in?
- This is a very important question! We believe
every word of the Bible as being the very breath of
God. To give you a better understanding, please visit
our Beliefs page for
a Scriptural foundation of our beliefs.
When will you be preaching next?
- The next speaking engagements for the year are
listed on the Itinerary
page of our website. Please visit this page often, as
it is constantly being updated with new events and seminars.
Would you please come to our church and speak?
- We do prayerfully consider wherever the Lord wants
us to go. If you are interested in inviting me to come
to your church to speak, please have a leader from your
church e-mail info@hiswordministries.com
and we will respond to your request promptly. |
